9/11 Commission Report

Many well known and respected professors have expressed significant criticism of the 9/11 Commission Report.  Several even allege government complicity in the terrible acts of 9/11.  This section is a collection of their public statements.  This website is not an organization and it should be made clear that none of these individuals are affiliated with this website.

Listed below are statements by more than 270 professors that contradict or are critical of the 9/11 Commission Report.  Their collective voices give credibility to the claim that the 9/11 Commission Report is tragically flawed.

These individuals cannot be simply dismissed as irresponsible believers in some 9/11 conspiracy theory. Their sincere concern, backed by their dedication to researching and teaching the truth about a wide variety of subjects, demonstrates that criticism of the Commission Report is not inherently irresponsible or illogical, and that, in fact, it can be just the opposite.

• Essay 9/11: Rational Beliefs are not Paranoid 12/8/06:
  "The impact of the planes cannot have caused enough damage to bring the [World Trade Center] buildings down, since the buildings were designed to withstand them (as Frank De Martini, the project manager, has observed), the planes that hit were very similar to those they were designed to withstand, and they continued to stand after those impacts with negligible effects. ...
  
  WTC-7 came down in a classic controlled demolition at 5:20 PM/ET after Larry Silverstein suggested the best thing to do might be to "pull it", displaying all the characteristics of classic controlled demolitions: a complete, abrupt, and total collapse into its own footprint, where the floors are all falling at the same time, and so forth, an event so embarrassing to the official account that it is not even mentioned in THE 9/11 COMMISSION REPORT.

The hit point at the Pentagon was too small to accommodate a 100-ton airliner with a 125-foot wingspan and a tail that stands 44 feet above the ground; the kind and quantity of debris was wrong for a Boeing 757: no wings, no fuselage, no seats, no bodies, no luggage, no tail! Which means that the building was not hit by a Boeing 757. ...

There are more, especially about the alleged hijackers, including that they were not competent to fly the planes and their names were not on any passenger manifest. Several have turned up alive and well and living in the Middle East. The government has not even produced their tickets as evidence that they actually could have boarded the aircraft they are alleged to have hijacked.   In the Introduction Griffin gives a key reason why the supposedly impartial Commission, staffed by five Republicans and five Democrats, carried out a highly partial investigation and produced a report that amounts to a coverup. A pivotal reason for this is that the commission's executive director, who "pick[ed] the areas of investigation, the briefing materials, the topics for hearings, the witnesses, and the lines of questioning . . ." was Philip Zelikow, who was deeply involved in the Bush administration.
